Theresa Armstead, PhD, with nearly 20 years of public health, evaluation, and research expertise, offers leadership, strategic thinking, planning, and coordination in the areas of program evaluation, violence prevention, community health, systems change, organizational readiness/capacity building, implementation science, data to action processes, and health equity.

Leadership

Provides expert leadership and subject matter expertise in fast-paced environments with shifting or competing priorities. Skillfully manages research and evaluation projects while leading high performing teams. Contributes to peer/objective review panels, editorial boards, and advisory boards.

Strategic Thinking

Anticipates challenges and identifies opportunities and solutions for complex scientific, programmatic, and operational processes. Provides strategic oversight and management for a portfolio of research or evaluation projects through various mechanisms (e.g., contracts, service agreements).

Planning

Applies expert knowledge in program and project development, budget planning, project proposals, and contract statements of work. Establishes project timeframes with key milestones along the "critical path" for managing project progression and achieving project goals.

Coordination

Ethically engages cross-disciplinary teams through effective communication to facilitate representation in project development and management as appropriate. Ensures collaborators' responsibilities are met. Monitors and ensures compliance with administrative, regulatory, and fiscal policies and procedures as applicable.
